bbbonline is a business skills pilot program being held in the Goldfields (Central Highlands and Central Victoria) region from August 2004 to July 2005. The pilot region includes the towns of Ballarat, Bendigo, Creswick, Clunes, Castlemaine, Daylesford and Maldon.

bbbonline offers flexible learning materials

• in CD-ROM format
• in a web-based online learning environment
• in 'how to' workshops

Learning is further enhanced by technical support and access to mentors for operators who wish to complete tourism industry accreditation.

With bbbonline you can:

• complete only one section of your choosing or the entire program leading to accreditation
• use a range of electronic communication tools to interact with other tourism operators
• make use of online learning and resources via the Internet

What are the benefits of flexible learning?
Flexible learning has the advantage over traditional face-to-face workshops in that you have greater flexibility in choosing how and when you learn:

• The location: Geography is generally not an issue, so travel is not required or kept to a minimum.
• The venue: Your home, business or local library can become your ‘classroom’.
• The timing: You can choose the most convenient time for you to engage in all or the majority of your learning.
